Constitution and Statement of Faith Grace Baptist Church of Mono Vista

PREAMBLE

We, the members of Grace Baptist Church, believing that this document is consistent with Scripture, our only authority, and in an effort to always do things "decently and in order", do establish it as our constitution and agree to abide by its principles.

ARTICLE I — NAME AND PURPOSE

This congregation of believers will be known as the Grace Baptist Church of Mono Vista. Our principle office is in the county of Tuolumne, State of California.

The purpose of this church shall be to spread the Gospel locally and around the world, to build up believers through the preaching and teaching of Scripture , to administer the ordinances of believer's baptism and the Lord's Supper, and to accurately reflect the character of God in our' activities, fellowship, relationships and contact with our community. We retain the right to establish various ministries and fulfill our purpose as we see fit whether or not that activity is generally recognized as a function of a traditional church.

ARTICLE II— AFFILIATION

This church has sovereign control over its own affairs and shall remain unaffiliated with any denominational body, convention or association, which could exercise authority over it or restrict its independent choices in any matter.

ARTICLE III — MEMBERSHIP

Qualifications- Qualifications for membership include a belief in Jesus Christ as personal Savior, baptism by immersion, agreement with this Constitution and Statement of Faith, and overall harmony with our position as a fundamentalist ministry Reception- Reception to membership will be to those who, after voicing their desire for membership, meet with the pastor and deacons for an interview concerning the above
