These simple facts will change your life

    1. All Are Sinners

Realize that you are a sinner because you have disobeyed God. The word of God tells us that we are all sinners. Both the Old and New Testament declare this fact. “Surely there is not a righteous man on earth who does good and never sins” (Ecclesiastes 7:20, ESV). “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” (Romans 3:23, ESV). “Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned” (Romans 5:12, ESV).

    2.   There is a just penalty for sin

“For the wages of sin is death,” (Romans 6:23a, ESV). Death in this verse refers to three types of death. 1) Physical death, we will all die some day. 2) Spiritual death, because of our sin we do not have a relationship with God therefore we are spiritually dead. 3) Eternal death, Hell is a place that was created for the devil and his angels but because of sin, man will be punished there forever. “…whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God” (John 3:18, ESV).

     3.  Christ Died for Sinners

You cannot save yourself therefore you need help. God loves you. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16, ESV). “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23, ESV).

    4.  You are invited to accept Gods free gift

God has made a way for all mankind to be saved, and that is through the work of the cross. Good works will not save you. Religious rituals will not save you. Only the work of the cross can save you. “He saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy,” (Titus 3:5, ESV). To accept God’s free gift we need to “confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.” (Romans 10:9-10, ESV)
